We paid over $2800 for mattresses in 2006. They were supposed to be the best on the market according to Consumer Reports.

Not even 2 years later they are a piece of ***. When talking to Restonic directly, they tried to tell me they had not been in the market in Mississippi in 2006, although I had printed a search page of sellers 60 miles as far away from my home of 24 stores that carried them.

They are supposed to have a full 15 year warrenty on them==no pro-rated stuff. If they fail within the 15 years, free replacement I've gone round and round with these folks, and it has'nt been easy.

DO NOT REMOVE THE TAGS FROM THE MATTRESSES---That supposedly voids your warrenty. I had removed mine, but had them with my reciepts and other info on the set on file. Now they want me to send them a copy of my reciepts, the tags----and would you believe that they want me to cut a 6 inch by 6 inch hole in my mattress and send them that also. So if they refuse to warrenty the mattreses, they will be ruined for good and no matter what, I will have to live with *** in my mattress or buy new ones on my own. Cutting the mattress up just doesn't seem right to me. No more Restonic for me, Sealy, Certa, Simmons or some one has to top this tyoe of service!

THis company is a joke!! Sent back a mattress and they refused to fix this sagging piece of junk because it had a stain on it.

What did the stain have to do with failure of their product. Talk about a lame excuse...

:( :( :( :(

We purchased the first one 3 years ago. They warrentied it 6 times with a new one.

Number 7 was a charm. The store I bought my mattress from quit selling them due to all the problems. I was able to get a Sealy and have been happy ever since. Keep bugging the company and the store that you bought it from until you get results.

Go to the store to complain---not over the phone. Things work better when other customers hear you complaining.

It worked for me with alot of persistence! !

I purchased Restonic last June 2011, after 6 months, it sags in the sleeping areas and has a high hump in the middle. Paid 2000.00 for King set.

It is a piece of ***.

I would be interested in a class action against the company but don't know how to go ahead with this. Any advise is appreciated.

I need to know how to get hold of the people at Restonic for we moved into our new home 3 years ago when we did we bought new beds and box springs, well the first week when we went to bed at night my husbands side of the mattress saged in and we have turned the mattress around and it still will not come out. I have not removed the tags they are still on but I either want another mattress like this one or another kind of one, so can anyone help me?

I had originally purchased a Restonic Heiress King and after 1 year it was severely sagging on both sides, and we had rotated the mattress every 2 months. After contacting Restonic they honored our warranty, and have sent us a new mattress. Everyone at the factory was really helpful, and I appreciate their service in correcting this matter.

I purchased this bed MAYBE 10 months ago sometime late 2010 and I will admit I LOVED it at first well that has changed I am hear to tell you. I was desperate for a bed and now I wish I had read some reviews prior to purchasing.

I bought a king Imperial Royal and paid roughly $1400 which I am STILL paying for something I do not want. I was in a bad car accident a few years back and need the support for my back. The bed was wonderful at first I was sleeping great and my back pain had basically diminished well that has all changed to. I rotate the bed monthly since its a no flip and it is sinking in on both sides now and there is a hump in the middle as many describe.

I am 5'7 and weight roughly 155 pound so by no means should this bed be sinking. I like some other have even tried sleeping in the middle of the "hump" to get some relief and that doesn't help either. I have put in a call to the Restonic's company and will try to get this bed replace and if not I might try to sue for my money back because this is ridiculous the amount of complaints that are being made on these beds. If you are considering purchasing a Restonic think twice before doing so because if I had done my research prior to my purchase I would never have bought this thing.

Let me put it this way I got 3 hours of sleep last night and go up because I couldn't take sleeping on it anymore. If you want something that sways go buy a hammock its cheaper, offers more support and you get the swaying because its what you expected to begin with.

Never purchase a single sided "cant flip" mattress. Find a good local 2 sided mattress.

Coils and padding mainly come from the same vendors. Purchase a mattress in the middle of the comfort range. To firm you will hurt and to soft your going to get a nice dip.

ASK THE SALES PERSON TO SHOW YOU HOW MUCH PADDING IS IN THE MATTRESS! IF THERE IS 10 INCHES OF PADDING BETWEEN YOU AND THE COIL WHAT WOULD YOU EXPECT TO HAPPEN!

Consumer Reports and Consumer Digest are 2 very different things....you basicly buy your way into consumer Digest...Consumer Report is the only honest one

I wonder how many of the people who are complaining that their mattress is sinking in the middle have proper support for their bed??? You need to have a heavy duty frame with center support.

Mattresses weigh much more now than they did in the past. Pillow Top Mattresses get body impressions. It is the nature of the beast. This is not a defect.

If you don't like sleeping in *** don't buy a pillow top mattress. To the people who are complaining that their mattress is too soft or too hard. Did you lay on it in the store? Did you bounce your butt up and down on the bed or stick your knee up on the bed or did you lay across the middle of the bed with your feet on the floor????

This is not the correct way to test out a mattress! You need to lay on the bed in about the position you sleep in for at least 15 minutes or more. The mattress should hold your body in a position like you would be standing with good posture. You should not feel like the bed is poking you.

Your body should feel very neutral. Almost as if your are floating.

Wear something like sweats to try out mattresses. If you have a favorite pillow or Teddy Bear take it to the store with you.

I got an all foam latex mattress in late 2007 early 08. I thought I liked it, and it was good at first, but now I sleep in the middle of the bed because it just kind of forces you there.

I feel no support whatsoever. There's no 'spring back'. They told me latex lasted forever, but I think it matters what kind of latex. (talally or manufactured).

You can't even tell that much by looking at it, but there's just no spring it any more and no bounce back. Feels like a comforter laying on an old hammock or something. So NOw I'm getting a sleep number.

Lots of bad reviews on that too, but every single person I know that has a sleep number loves it, so I'm banking on that rather than the internet reviews. My body's getting too old and my pocketbook too small to keep dealing with this stuff!

I bought a Restonic in Dec. 2009.

It is horrible. You are in the middle of the bed because there is no support. They told me the warranty does not cover COMFORT, it only covers defects. Isn't this a defect?

I have slept on the couch more than I have slept in the bed since I have had it. Isn't there something that we can do as a group????

Just wondering. small claims court??

We bought a Restonic in 1-2009 didn't put up till 4-2009 because it smelled like nail polish remover we have slept on it since April and in January you could see body impressions and thats with spinning top to bottom every month this is rediculous I had a Sterns & Foster that is well into the 11th year b-4 it started to degrade had the inspector come out from the furniture store to check it and according to him Restonic is going to say it falls within their guidline it has to be at least 2" b-4 they will do anything that is their standards not govt. what a joke but remember it you baught something on credit card and your not happy & you have tried in good faith to remedy the situation you may not have to finish paying off goods or services chech the back of your cc statement

I purchased this mattress last year (2009)

I've had it for 5 months, I wake up every morning with a terrible backache. I never had back problems before.

I have a queen size with pillow top, and it sinks in the middle. It's the worse mattress I have ever slept on. I paid over $1,000. I am so upset that I can't get my money back.

I think there's a defect, a mattress should last longer than this. WHAT DO I DO NOW?

How about a class action law suit??

We are not happy why can't we get a replacement or our money back? If you are interested contact me at dmtsat6461@***.com

Horrible, horrible mattress. We bought what was supposed to be the top of line pillowtop mattress.

We received it November 24, on December 24 it alreay had body impressions deep enough that you had to roll up hill to turn over. We aren't large people (150 and 107). After 4 months, it is in worse shape than ours old mattress was at 8 years (we went to a larger bed so that's why it was replaced) The company solution was to sleep in the middle to even out the foam and rotate it frequently. Which of us gets to sleep somewhere else while one sleeps in the middle and who is going to rotate a king sized mattress every week?

They said that if after 6 more months it wasn't better, we could send it in back and have them cut it open to see if the foam failed. And that would cost what?

And when they decided it was our problem, then what would we do? Amazing - from what I've read it sounds like this another company that used to be great but has really gone down hill.

Just a thought...how does a mattress know if you weigh 100 pounds or 500?

Guest

This is the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever owned. I haven't slept well for a year since i purchased it. I wake up with aches all over my body every day and it's hard as a rock...

I've been doing a bit of research on Restonic. It appears the company has a great history - relatively small, but consistently good.

But recently, the company has been bought out and the quality seems to be in question now more than ever.

Continue looking around... I suggest trying Consumer Reports' forums on Mattresses.

There are several posts on Restonic: the complaints seem to be mainly with newer purchases. Customers with older Restonics seem to rave about the quality, though.

Wow it must be the factory that you guys have dealt with. I have 5 sets of Restonic in my house and have had them for several years.

We love them all. My daughter and son sleep on innerspring plush and I sleep on one of Restonic's latex mattresses.

Absolutely no problems and extremely comfortable. I have shopped several times for mattresses and Sealy, Serta and Simmons in no way compare to what Restonic has to offer for the same price....I love my bed!
